Journalists told how letters of relationship work in the Armed Forces of Ukraine now. They created a kind of instruction for those liable for military service.

Previously, this was nothing more than a letter of recommendation, and was considered extremely rare at the TCC. However, since March, the General Staff has turned the relationship into a binding document.
This doesn’t work for all positions. As Radio Liberty’s interlocutors explain, the General Staff divided the units into priority and non-priority. If you were interviewed in a priority department, attitude is a must. If it is not a priority, it is now impossible to mobilize there. You can only sign the contract.
You can find out which category the unit belongs to during the interview. This list is not publicly available.
Letters of relationship are issued for positions for which you have been interviewed. These vacancies can be found in the Lobby X Army vacancy database (https://lobbyx.army/), on Work.ua, OLX.ua, robota.ua, on the “Vacancies from the Defense Forces” tab in the Employment Service (https:// dcz.gov.ua/); in recruiting centers of specific brigades and the Ministry of Defense.
A letter of attitude is a document on behalf of the unit commander stating that the unit is ready to hire you for a certain position. The attitude does not cancel the trip to the TCC. Even if the unit has agreed with you, mobilization occurs precisely through the center of the territorial recruitment of the army.
Since March 2024, great changes have occurred in relations in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Previously, this was nothing more than a letter of recommendation, and was considered extremely rare at the TCC. Until March 2024, if the military commissar wanted, he could send you on a recommendation from the brigade. But more often than not, no. This happened at every step, writes Radio Liberty.
We talked with an instructor at one of the largest training centers in Ukraine, and he said that until now (we talked in May 2024) he had not met a single mobilized person with an attitude in his hands. Those who want to join a specific unit go for a contract, says one of the mobilized.
However, since March, the General Staff turned the relationship into a binding document – the department issued a directive on the recruitment of military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
