Education Minister Oksen Lesnoy announced this today, June 21, during the Question Hour for the government in the Verkhovna Rada.
According to him, several options are being considered:
- online training or training in a mixed format during difficult peak periods;
- shifting the class schedule;
- increase in winter holidays.
Lesnoy noted that the issue of training schedules is currently being worked out:
- institutions of higher education and vocational education should start the academic year earlier – in the warm season. At the same time, they must take a long winter break and finish the school year later;
- at the same time, schools will not start the school year earlier. There, changes will affect class schedules, which, where possible and there is no shift training, will be staggered – classes will start at 10 o’clock.
Another set of issues, according to the minister, concerns the provision of technical equipment to educational institutions.
These issues should be resolved by local governments. About 30% of our educational institutions are provided with generation, but it varies,” he emphasized. — There is a fairly powerful one, which allows the educational institution to work as a whole, and there are weak ones, when only the indestructibility point, which is located in the educational institution, can work.
