Investigators established that Meiram Karataev and Atay Zhakanbaev were involved in the assassination attempt. By order of an unidentified person, they came to Kyiv, where they monitored Sadikov, his daily routine, work and movements. For cover, they rented housing at different addresses. The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this on June 21.
It turned out that the oppositionist was shot with a pistol equipped with a silencer. As a result of Sadykov’s shot, a penetrating gunshot wound to the brain was caused.
The defendants are suspected of attempted premeditated murder.
