Two Just Stop Oil climate activists sprayed the famous British historical landmark Stonehenge with an orange substance. So, they called on the country’s government to abandon fossil fuels by 2030, The National wrote.
The video shows two people wearing white T-shirts with the words “Just Stop Oil” running up to the Stonehenge monolith with cans and spray paint. Environmental activists managed to cover some rocks with the substance.
Just Stop Oil said the protesters were Oxford student Niamh Lynch, 21, and Rajan Naidoo, 73, from Birmingham. They spray powder paint on Stonehenge, which will wash off in the rain.
So, activists demanded that the next UK government agree with other countries on a plan to stop the production and burning of oil, gas and coal by 2030.
