The government has expanded the list of persons who will be able to receive payments in the event of the death of a serviceman.

This was announced on June 18 by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk.
According to him, the new edition sets out the Procedure for the appointment and payment of a one-time benefit in the event of death, disability or partial loss of ability to work without establishing disability of military personnel, those liable for military service and reservists called up for training (or testing) and special meetings or for service in military reserve, approved by resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers 12/25/2013 No. 975, and paragraph 2 of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 02/28/2022 No. 168 “Issues of certain payments to military personnel, privates and commanding officers, police officers and their families during martial law.”
Now the following will also be able to receive one-time cash assistance:
- women or men who lived with a military man without registering their marriage;
- grandchildren of a deceased (deceased) serviceman, if their parents are deceased;
- children born after the death of a serviceman.
