The government has expanded the capabilities of the state program “Affordable loans 5-7-9%”, allowing entrepreneurs to attract preferential loans for the purchase and installation of gas-fired power generation plants. Prime Minister Denis Shmigal wrote about this on June 18 on his social networks.
Entrepreneurs can use the loan funds received under the program to finance the construction and installation of gas turbine, gas piston and biogas generating plants.
The maximum amount of a preferential loan for relevant purposes is up to 150 million hryvnia, and the loan term is up to 10 years.
The government hopes that, subject to the liberalization of the monetary policy of the NBU and an increase in the volume of lending to this industry, enterprises will be able to quickly increase their own electricity production, and, as a result, the market for small distributed generation will develop more actively, the Ministry of Economy notes.
