According to the publication, Khalilzad urged his colleague from the Russian Federation to find a way “to end Russia’s war against Ukraine. In turn, Antonov asked what the United States could provide. The US ambassador insisted that it should be discussed with the representatives of Ukraine. In response, Antonov began to speak about the “Nazis in Kyiv.”
“Do you have a lot of Jews living here in the United States? Why do they tolerate everything that’s going on in Kyiv?” – said the Russian ambassador.
After that, Antonov began to complain that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was allegedly ruining the country’s future. In the course of further talks, the Russian diplomat also stated that Russia “asks for respect” and “wants the United States to respect Russia.”
