The Russian invaders built a military training ground between the villages of Plugatar and Novospasovka in the Lugansk region. The head of the regional military administration, Artem Lysogor, announced this on June 16.

“In Belovodshchina, the occupiers built a military training area. In the area between the villages of Plugatar and Novospasovka, the Russians periodically conduct training of personnel that they lost peace,” he said .

The head of the region added that in recent weeks the enemy has continued to attack near the settlements liberated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the fall of 2022.

“The invaders are hitting these villages with all available types of weapons. It is extremely dangerous for the civilian population to stay there,” Lysogor emphasized.

In the direction of Kupyansky and Limansky, the Russians tried to push the Defense Forces back from the positions in the areas of Andreevka, Grekovka, Makeevka, Nevsky and Serebryansky forests. 12 attacks were repelled, the situation was under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

During the day, the invaders fired mortars 69 times at Nevsky, Makeevka, Stelmakhovka, Kuzemovka. Another 29 times – they used cannon artillery in the areas of Stelmakhovka, Kuzemovka and Nevsky.

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian military knocked out the Russian invaders from positions in Serebryansky forest of Lugansk region.
