Teenagers set fire to the cars of military personnel for money. They were detained.
To destabilize the situation in Ukraine, the Russian special services encouraged minors to set fire to the cars of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel for money. The youth were detained. The National Police reported it on June 14.
It was noted that since the beginning of 2024, Russian special services have become more active in social networks, attracting people aged 13 years and older to underground subversive activities, promising minors a generous reward for arson.
According to the head of the Department of Criminal Investigation of the National Police, Vadim Dzyubinsky, in Odessa, the criminal police exposed two boys, 13 and 16 years old, who committed arson of two cars belonging to the staff of the military. The teenagers were detained with two friends, aged 16 and 18, while trying to set fire to another car.
The materials were given to SBU investigators, who declared the detained defendant suspected of sabotage committed under martial law.
The youngest, a 13-year-old boy, was granted bail by his parents. For others, the court opted for preventive measures in the form of detention without bail. They face up to 15 years in prison.
For a similar crime, investigators detained two other youths, 17 and 18 years old. They were also declared suspicious and preventive measures were taken.
Also, arson of Ukrainian Armed Forces vehicles was recorded in Kyiv and Dnieper. Investigative actions are being taken on these facts, and the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
We remind you that the counterintelligence of the Security Service detained the head of one of the departments of the Khmelnitsky City Council, who worked for the FSB of Russia.
Earlier, the Security Service detained a GRU agent in the Donetsk region who was helping the Russians break the defense line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction of Pokrovsky.
