Boguslaev was detained by SBU counterintelligence in October 2023. According to the investigation, the management of the Motor Sich plant in Zaporozhye established transnational channels for the illegal supply of wholesale quantities of Ukrainian aircraft engines to the Russian Federation. All property of the President of Motor Sich JSC has been seized.
On March 28, the SBU announced a new suspicion to Boguslaev – of blocking the supply of a combat helicopter for the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense in April 2022.
On January 22, the Ministry of Justice filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to recover the assets of Boguslaev and Kononenko in favor of the state.
In April, VAKS allowed the confiscation of the assets of Motor Sich ex-president Vyacheslav Boguslaev. The decision also concerns the general director of the Russian company Borisfen, Pyotr Kononenko.
On April 18, a panel of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the administrative claim of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine against the former president of Motor Sich JSC and the director of the company’s representative office in Moscow, Russian businessman Pyotr Kononenko, and applied to them the sanction provided for in paragraph 1-1 of Part 1 of Art. 4 of the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions”.
VAKS recovered the assets of sanctioned persons for state income: real estate, funds placed in bank accounts, shares in the authorized capital of a number of business companies, securities, property rights to trademarks and industrial designs and firearms.
Director of the Department of Sanctions Policy of the Ministry of Justice Inna Bogatykh clarified that, in particular, the corporate rights of Motor Bank, Motor Garanta (insurance), Vinnitsa Aviation Plant and other enterprises were recovered from state revenue.
An appeal against the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court may be filed by the participants in the case and/or their representatives to the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court within five days from the date of announcement of the court decision.
