The Asset Tracing and Management Agency (ARMA) is tracking the assets of an employee of one of the local governments who tried to deliver about $1 million across the Ukrainian border.
It will be noted that when crossing the border, the official gave the customs workers a deliberately forged document to hide the source of the funds.
According to the investigation, these funds were obtained through criminal means.
ARMA, using information and reference systems, registers and data banks, tracked the defendant’s property.

According to the deputy head of ARMA Pavel Velikorechanin, ARMA is transferring this information to the pre-trial investigation body for further seizure of this property.

As reported, the National Agency of Ukraine for the search and management of assets obtained from corruption and other crimes last year identified assets worth 100 billion hryvnias in Ukraine and the same value abroad.
