The Ministry of Digital Development reported this on June 10. Previously, information was provided via SMS, but this was sometimes used by scammers.
They sent fake information and offered to “speed up” the exchange for money.
According to the ministry, scammers took advantage of the vulnerability of the relatives of prisoners and missing people through SMS messages – they offered to “speed up” the exchange for money or sent fake information, imitating data from the Coordination Headquarters.
“Actions” will receive confirmation that the person is in captivity or that he has been fired.
Mikhail Fedorov, head of the Ministry of Digital Development, explained that when a person disappears, relatives leave a statement in their personal account on the website of the Coordination Headquarters. “Action” will receive notifications from this account that:
-
the statement was confirmed;
-
information was added to the case;
-
the man was freed from captivity.
If a person was considered missing, and then it was possible to confirm that he was in captivity, there will also be an alert in Action.
Those who are authorized in the application, have a verified taxpayer card and submitted applications through the personal account of the Coordination Headquarters will receive notifications from the Coordination Headquarters in “Action”.
