In Moscow, the court arrested the deputy head of the Tyumen region of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Vakhrin, on the charge of accepting a bribe on a particularly large scale. The officer was sent to a pre-trial detention center until August 6, Russian independent TG channel Astra reported.
Vakhrin has held his position since 2012. He is responsible for the housing and community services sector.
Tyumen businessman Alexey Gotsik, who was accused of paying bribes on a particularly large scale, was also involved in the case of the deputy governor.
And earlier, Tyumen State Duma deputy Andrei Kim was detained while accepting a bribe of 3 million rubles.
