First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Energy Yuriy Vlasenko stated this during the “Government Question Hour” in the Verkhovna Rada, Interfax-Ukraine agency reports.
Starting from Saturday, a new procedure for applying hourly shutdown schedules will be introduced in test mode, according to which limits will be proven on how much load needs to be unloaded in a certain area. In connection with this, the distribution system operator (oblenergo) must ensure disconnection queues in such a way as to use exclusively this limit, Vlasenko noted.
According to our calculations, the number of queues should be less, and there will be more hours of light in citizens’ homes,” he added.
Vlasenko noted that the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Energy and the President’s Office constantly monitor the application of hourly shutdown schedules and power limitations.
We are constantly trying to improve the use of these mechanisms,” he noted.
