Ukrainian troops retook most of Kalinovka and pushed the Russian invaders away from the canal near Chasovy Yar.
Ukrainian armed forces successfully counter-attacked and recaptured the village of Kalinovka north of Chasovoy Yar, Donetsk region, from Russian troops. Bild analyst Julian Röpke reported this on Friday, June 7.
The analysis states that during the attack on Chasov Yar, west of Bakhmut, the Russian army used double strike tactics. The Russians attack directly the Kanal microdistrict east of the city, bypassing it as well.
Bild recalled that at the end of April the Russian invaders advanced to the south and reached the Seversky Donets – Donbass canal. In the north, they recently captured the village of Kalinovka and reached the canal. At the same time, the Kanal microdistrict was completely destroyed, but remained in the hands of Ukrainian defenders.
However, as a Bild analyst wrote, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully counterattacked and recaptured Kalinovka recently.
“Ukrainian troops recaptured most of Kalinovka and pushed the Russian invaders away from the canal near Chasovy Yar,” he said.
