Russian agents received instructions to organize the paid production and distribution of related materials in the media space of Ukraine and Western states, the intelligence agency said.
Russian intelligence services are preparing for the next information-psychological operation (IPSO), aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian military leadership, especially against Ukrainian military intelligence. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Friday, June 7.
“The Russians have allocated $15 million for the implementation of a new large-scale campaign against Ukraine. The agency of Russian security officials has already received instructions to organize the paid production and distribution of space-related materials of media of Ukraine and Western countries.” said the message.
It is clarified that we are talking about a number of articles and films in which, in particular, they plan to disclose the data of employees of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine involved in coordinating combat work of special units of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The Main Intelligence Directorate named three targets for Russian information attacks:
-
discrediting Ukrainian military special forces, their officers and employees;
-
blocking the work of the departments in the formation and execution of combat and special missions against Moscow;
-
the creation of another factor of social tension in Ukraine.
Earlier, the Main Intelligence Directorate said that Russia was preparing new IPSOs to discredit Ukraine for July this year. The occupiers are looking for fragments of missiles from the Patriot air defense system in the occupied territories to prepare disinformation operations.
The Center for Countering Disinformation said that the Russians will promote the theme of repeated offensives from the territory of Belarus.
