On the night of June 7, 2024, Russian Nazis attacked critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine with strategic aviation – Tu-95MS bombers from the airspace of the Saratov region and attack UAVs of the “Shahed-131/136” type from the regions of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk – Russian Federation. and Cape Chauda – Crimea.
A total of 5 Kh-101/Kh-555 air-launched cruise missiles and 53 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs were used.
The air attack was repelled by mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, fighter aircraft, units of anti-aircraft missile forces and electronic warfare of the Air Force.
As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 48 attack UAVs and 5 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles were shot down in the Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Kirovograd, Nikolaev, Kherson, Odessa, Kharkov, Kyiv and Khmelnytsky regions.
The Ukrainian military does not say where the five suicide bombers that penetrated the air defense ended up.
At night, Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners repelled the attacks of the “shaheds” in the Odessa region, in the Starokonstantinov area in the Khmelnytsky region and other places in the country.
There is still too little information about the consequences of the strike: only the head of the administration of the Kyiv region reported that a fire broke out at some industrial facility in the region.
