In Poland, a border guard died after being stabbed near the village of Dubichi Tserkovnye while stopping illegal migrants trying to enter the country from the territory of Belarus. This was announced on Thursday, June 6, by the country’s Defense Minister Vladislav Kosinyak-Komysh.

“It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to our soldier Mateusz, who, despite the efforts of doctors, died due to a bandit attack while defending the Polish border,” the minister said.
Vladislav Kosinyak-Komysh added that the deceased border guard’s devotion to the Motherland “is an example of the highest courage.”
It was earlier reported that a Polish border guard was injured at the hands of illegal immigrants at the Belarusian border.
