The arrival of weapons on the battlefield in the past few weeks has affected the situation at the front, the White House said.
In the coming weeks, the United States will transfer new aid packages to Ukraine. White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said this in a briefing.
“I think you can expect announcements in the coming weeks about further deliveries of significant potential to Ukraine,” he said.
Sullivan said Ukraine was “in a hole” because of the delay in sending US military aid. But, according to the White House adviser, Ukraine is “strengthening the lines” in key areas, in particular, stopping the Russian offensive north of Kharkov.
The United States supplies Ukraine with ammunition and other weapons. Sullivan agreed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that more air defense capabilities are needed, and that the United States is working on them.
“Weapons coming onto the battlefield in size and quantity in recent days and weeks have affected the situation on the front line,” the White House adviser said.
We remind you that a plant has been opened in the United States that will produce artillery shells for Ukraine. The plant will produce about 30 thousand shells per month for the 155-mm howitzer to meet the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
