Any Ukrainian over the age of 18 can become a drone operator, even without such civilian experience.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with Victory Drones, is launching a project to recruit UAV operators. Recruitment will be done through Ukrainian Army Recruitment Centers. The press service of the Ministry of Defense reported this on Tuesday, June 4.

It was noted that the recruitment of citizens who wish to serve as UAV operators will take place through the Recruitment Centers of the Ukrainian Army.

“Anyone over the age of 18 can be an operator, even without such civilian experience try yourself in a call to clarify your data,” the message said.

According to the authorized representative of the Ministry of Defense for recruiting, Alexey Bezhevets, first a person takes courses online. If the result is positive, he continues to the second stage. Here he interacts directly with Victory Drones specialists, takes upon himself the obligation to join the Armed Forces after studying and engages in his own professional activities.

The man then learned to operate the UAV in the training area and was awarded a contract. In recruiting centers, recruiters convey this information, then they assist the candidate at all stages.

The Victory Drones project will provide professional multi-stage free online and offline training, which will last an average of one month. In the final stage of training, the candidate begins the process of registering for military service under a contract with a selected military unit and is sent to undergo basic combined arms training.

Then the serviceman officially confirms his skills as a UAV operator, receives the appropriate certificate and is sent to serve in a selected military unit in his specialty.

Training includes tactical medicine, psychological assistance in stressful situations and self-regulation.

Earlier, the General Staff said that over the past year at the front, the number of aircraft-type UAVs has nearly tripled, and the number of FPV-type weapons has nearly quadrupled.
