On June 4, the United States successfully launched the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile. It was reported on the official website of the Vandenberg Space Force Base.
“A joint team of Air Force Global Strike Command Airmen, supported by Space Force Guardians, launched an unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile equipped with a launcher from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, on June 4 at 12 :56 pm PT,” the statement said.
It was noted that the test launch is part of periodic measures aimed at demonstrating readiness to safely and effectively deter nuclear threats.
Let’s recall that in September last year the United States conducted another test launch of the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile. The previous launch took place in April.
