Operators of special operations forces, during aerial reconnaissance in one of the operational directions, discovered the location of the Russian mobile radar station “Kasta-2E2”. The press service of the MTR of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook on June 3.
This radar model is considered an ultra-modern weapon designed to control airspace, determine coordinates and recognize air targets, including those flying at ultra-low altitudes.
Casta was first discovered on Ukrainian territory in 2021 in the occupied territory of Luhansk region. The invaders brought this radar to counter attack drones.
Our operators inflicted fire on a Russian radar with one of the latest developments entering service with the Special Forces, the command noted.
Let us recall that operators of the 3rd separate regiment of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine three weeks later destroyed half a division of Russian Buk anti-aircraft missile systems in one of the operational directions.
