This spring, Russian invaders again began attacking Ukrainian energy facilities, leading to a dire situation in the energy market.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded Ukrainians how to take care of their own safety during the blackout. The main rules on Sunday, June 2, were published on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Specifically, law enforcement officials advise:
-
Familiarize yourself with power outage schedules in advance.
-
Unplug electrical appliances from electrical outlets to prevent malfunction.
-
Prepare a supply of water and non-perishable foods.
-
Do not open the refrigerator or freezer unless necessary.
-
Charge your gadgets ahead of time.
-
Prepare autonomous light sources.
-
Do not use elevators during scheduled power outages.
-
Use the generator outside.
“Defenders of Ukraine’s skies, energy and emergency services are doing everything to destroy the plans of the enemy,” the department added.
Earlier, electrical engineers warned that this week the situation in the Ukrainian energy system will be more difficult than at the end of May. This is due to the occurrence of power shortages.
Let’s recall that on the night of June 1, Russian troops launched a powerful missile and air strike on critical infrastructure facilities in various regions of Ukraine. Two hydroelectric power stations were damaged.
