In the past 24 hours, the US military destroyed a Houthi unmanned aerial vehicle in the southern Red Sea. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced this on June 2.

It was noted that CENTCOM forces also spotted two other drones that fell into the Red Sea.

In addition, on Saturday night, the US military shot down two Houthi anti-ship ballistic missiles in the southern Red Sea.

“Missiles were fired at USS Gravely and destroyed in self-defense with no reports of damage to US, coalition or commercial vessels,” CENTCOM said.

Earlier, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sari said the group had again attacked the US Navy aircraft carrier Dwight Eisenhower, as well as an American destroyer.

According to Sari, the Houthis also carried out operations against the commercial ships Abliani and Maina in the Red Sea and Aloraiq in the Indian Ocean.
