On the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue summit in Singapore, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky held a meeting with the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste Jose Manuel Ramos-Horta, which became the first in the history of bilateral relationship. The president announced the meeting on social networks and published a video.
“Meet with the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, Jose Manuel Ramos-Horta, which is the first in the history of bilateral relations. Thanks for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and the important UN resolutions condemning the Russian. aggression,” Zelensky said in a statement.
The President insisted that the participation of Southeast Asian countries in the inaugural Global Peace Summit is important and he thanked José Manuel Ramoso-Orti for confirming participation in the summit.
It is very important for us to start the process of establishing a just world. Russia does not want to stop the war. Therefore, together with the whole world, we must take steps to bring peace closer,” Zelensky added.
