A massive air strike was repelled by Ukrainian sky defenders last night.

On the night of June 1, the Russian invaders launched a powerful missile and air strike on critical infrastructure facilities in different regions of Ukraine. The enemy used air, sea and ground-based missiles, as well as attack UAVs. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
In general, the enemy attacked Ukrainian territory with 53 missiles of various types and 47 Shaheds. In particular, Tu-95 TS strategic aircraft from the Saratov region launched 35 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles. Four Iskander-M ballistic missiles and one Iskander-K cruise missile took off from occupied Crimea.
Enemy ships fired 10 Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea, and 47 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs launched from the Russian Primorsko-Akhtarsk. In addition, three X-59/X-69 guided aircraft missiles were fired from Zaporozhye airspace.
The enemy’s air attack was repelled by fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare equipment of the Ukrainian defense forces.
During the anti-aircraft battle, the sky defenders shot down 81 air targets:
- 30 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles;
- four Kalibr cruise missiles;
- cruise missile “Iskander-K”;
- 46 attack UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type.
Russian terrorists do not abandon their intentions to destroy the fuel and energy sector of the state. The Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine are doing everything possible to prevent the enemy from achieving their goals on every sector of the front, emphasized Nikolai Oleshchuk, commander of the Armed Forces.
Let us remind you that Energy Minister German Galushchenko said that on the night of June 1, the Russian Federation tried to attack the energy infrastructure in the Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kirovograd and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
