The enemy continues to mercilessly strike forest areas, causing new fires, the department notes.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of rescuers and forestry workers at constant risk to their lives from shelling and detonation of mines and unexploded ordnance, 12 fires have already been localized over a total area of more than 2,300 hectares, the State Emergency Service adds.
The State Emergency Service notes that rescuers and foresters work in extremely difficult conditions to extinguish fires and protect human homes from fire.
Yesterday, May 30, the State Emergency Service of the Kharkiv region reported that 15 forest fires continued to be extinguished in the region, most of which were caused by the invaders. Then more than 3 thousand hectares of forests were engulfed in fire.
