Fuel supplies from Russia fell 14.6% in April compared to March due to refinery overhauls, seasonal maintenance and a ban on fuel exports.
Russian primary oil refining capacity that was idle in May represented 12% of the total number of primary oil refining units. The industrial publication Enkorr writes about this with reference to Reuters.
It is reported that 12% of Russia’s primary refining capacity is currently idle, but the amount of idle capacity is about 28% lower than in April.
Fuel supplies from Russia fell 14.6% in April compared to March due to refinery overhauls, seasonal maintenance and a ban on fuel exports. In April, Russia exported 8.415 million tons of petroleum products by sea, which was 14.6% less than in March.
In early April, Russia said it could repair all damaged units within two months, but only when Russia begins restoring some of the refinery capacity damaged by Ukrainian drone attacks earlier this year, the attacks will continue.
It was recently reported that a refinery in the Kuban suspended operations after a drone attack.
