This was stated by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who will go to the Polish-Belarusian border tomorrow.
“I will be there tomorrow morning,” he wrote on Platform X. “Soldiers protect our border, risking their lives.”
Tension is growing on the Polish-Belarusian border. Today a foreigner wounded a Polish Army soldier with a knife. The attacker is one of the migrants who tried to illegally enter Poland from Belarus. The attack took place near the village of Dubichi Church.
Recently, there have been frequent attempts to illegally cross the border.
Border guards said a group of about 50 people wanted to cross the border at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. Migrants threw branches and stones towards Polish patrols. One of them stabbed a Polish soldier. A military ambulance took the soldier to the hospital. His life is not in danger.
Border guards were also injured in another area. The foreigners threw a bottle at the head of one of them, and wounded the other with a knife attached to a stick.
When the wounded soldier was given first aid, the foreigners threw branches and stones towards the Poles.
