The planned repair of the unit was completed three days ahead of schedule. The unit is currently gaining power. It will add 1000 MW of power to the power grid. The press service of the Ministry of Energy reported this today, May 28.
This is already the second unit of the nuclear power plant where nuclear scientists have carried out the necessary repair work this year. Another nuclear power unit was connected to the network on May 26.
Due to this, as well as weather conditions favorable for the operation of solar power plants, no restrictions are envisaged for the current day.
At the same time, several more nuclear units are being prepared for scheduled repairs, which is important for their uninterrupted operation during the heating season. Therefore, the volume of generation will decrease, the department notes.
