Germany is trying to resume the delivery of humanitarian aid to eastern Ukraine, Baerbock said.
Germany intends to allocate another 60 million euros for humanitarian aid to Ukraine, especially for the eastern regions. This is what German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock said, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“Regarding additional humanitarian aid The federal government, represented by us, is allocating another 60 million euros, especially for the east of Ukraine because in the east of Ukraine there is still a shortage,” he said.
Baerbock emphasized that Ukrainians have been suffering under Russian occupation for more than two and a half years and that Germany is trying to continue delivering humanitarian aid to eastern Ukraine.
“Currently, our full support is more important that we want peace, and therefore, to ensure peace, Ukraine needs support in all its manifestations,” said the German Foreign Minister.
We would like to remind you that earlier the UN said that humanitarian aid to Ukraine is decreasing, while the needs are growing for more than two years.
According to the organization, due to Russia’s continued aggression, approximately 40% of Ukraine’s population will require humanitarian aid this year.
