A few weeks ago, the President of Ukraine canceled his visit to Spain due to the worsening situation at the front.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky intends to travel to Madrid early next week to meet with King Philip VI of Spain and Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. Cadena SER wrote this on Friday, May 24, citing its own sources.
According to journalists, Zelensky will arrive in Madrid on Sunday afternoon, and on Monday he is scheduled to meet with the king and the president of the government, Sanchez.
“The meeting with the Ukrainian leader is not yet included in the king’s official agenda, but the decision that it will take place has already been made,” the statement said.
The publication recalls that Zelensky and Sanchez were supposed to sign a security agreement between Spain and Ukraine.
It should be noted that a few weeks ago Zelensky canceled trips abroad due to the worsening situation at the front.
Last October, Zelensky visited Granada, Spain, at the European Political Community summit as part of the Spanish presidency of the EU.
As you know, on May 7, Ukraine and Spain agreed on the text of a security agreement. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez confirmed his participation in the Peace Summit.
