Some of the returned children lost their parents. The families of other children tried to return them to Ukraine on their own, but the Russian occupiers did not allow this to happen. It was possible to take the children to the free territory of Ukraine as part of the implementation of the approved action plan of the president of Bring Kids Back UA. Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets reported this on Telegram.
The Ombudsman spoke about a 15-year-old girl from Mariupol, whose building was shot down by a Russian tank. She and her mother found refuge in the church. The child subsequently received a head injury from enemy missile debris. Her family tried many times to leave for Kyiv-controlled territory, but they succeeded only after numerous attempts.
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak, informed that the children were returned, in particular, through the mediation of Qatar.
Let us recall that in April the Center for National Resistance reported that new propagandists from the Kremlin’s “knowledge” sect had arrived in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and would have to “brainwash” Ukrainian children.
