The Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive air defense systems and naval assets to strengthen the Navy.

The UK is sending a military aid package worth £150 million (more than €217 million) to Ukraine to boost air and sea defences. This was announced by Defense Minister Grant Shapps, reports The Sun.

According to him, this package will help protect Ukraine’s destroyed infrastructure.

Britain and its allies provided £70 million (€81 million) worth of air defense radar, decoy and electronic warfare systems.

In addition, £80 million (more than €110 million) is earmarked for small boats, surveillance drones and unmanned surface ships.

“Assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces includes more air defense systems to protect Ukrainian civilians and infrastructure, as well as maritime capabilities to strengthen the Navy,” Shapps said.

Let’s recall that the previous British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that the country is sending a military aid package to Ukraine worth 500 million pounds ($617 million), which includes 400 pieces of equipment, 4 million ammunition, air defense elements and Storm Shadow missiles.
