A delegation from France led by the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of the French Republic, General Thierry Burcard, visited Ukraine on an official visit. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on May 22.
During the visit, the foreign delegation was briefed on the operational situation in the conflict areas and mentioned the facts of the enemy violating the rules of war and committing crimes against humanity.
The parties also discussed the use of weapons and equipment transferred by the French side, the prospects for providing military assistance, including the defense of Ukrainian skies, as well as further improving Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
At the end of the meeting, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Anatoly Bargilevich, thanked his French colleague for significant military-technical assistance, as well as the training of military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Forces. both in France and within the framework of the “European Union Mission to provide military assistance to Ukraine.”
We remind you that France is preparing new military aid for Ukraine, in particular, missiles for the SAMP/T air defense system.
It was previously reported that France would provide aid to Ukraine in the form of armored vehicles, Aster missiles and remote-controlled munitions.
