The proceeds from the sale of the confiscated apartments will go to the Fund for the Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation, about 7 million hryvnias.
The first successful auctions for the sale of sanctioned property were held on the Prozorro.Sales system. It is possible to sell the Odessa apartments of a collaborator, Kherson Gauleiter Vladimir Saldo and Russian oligarch Mikhail Shelkov, the head of the State Property Fund Vitaly Koval said on Telegram on Tuesday, May 21.
“The housing of the Russian oligarch Shelkov and the Ukrainian collaborator Baldo in Odessa is sold on the Prozorro.Sales system. The total amount is about 7 million UAH,” he wrote.
In particular, Shelkov’s four-room apartment with an area of 175.5 square meters. m went under the hammer for 4 million UAH. Two contestants fought for it.
Nine people competed for Saldo’s apartment. The winning bid was UAH 2.9 million.
Proceeds will go to the Fund for Eliminating the Consequences of Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation.
Both apartments were confiscated in Odessa’s Primorsky district, not far from Arcadia beach. They were put up for sale at the end of March. But the auctions for the sale of these apartments scheduled for April 17 did not take place due to the lack of potential buyers.
In total, the State Property Fund processes 753 units of sanctioned property. These are apartments and houses, businesses and factories, non-residential areas, cars and parking spaces.
Let’s recall that in May 2023, the assets of Vladimir Saldo were transferred to the state. The panel of judges then dismissed the appeals of the third parties, but granted the appeal of the Ministry of Justice.
It is also reported that law enforcement officials have uncovered new crimes by sanctioned Russian oligarch Mikhail Shelkov. He was involved in schemes for the hidden supply of Ukrainian titanium raw materials to the Russian Federation.
