European Commissioner Janez Lenarcic said the European Commission is activating a satellite mapping system to locate the missing helicopter.

The European Commission is activating a satellite mapping system to locate the helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. This was said by the European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Janez Lenarcic on the social network X.

According to him, at Iran’s request, the European Commission’s Emergency Management Service Copernicus will activate its “rapid response mapping service in relation to the helicopter accident.”

This service provides map data based on satellite imagery.

As you know, on Sunday, May 19, a helicopter carrying the President of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, suffered a “brutal landing.”
