Thirty-five troops from the North Carolina Guard and US Air Forces in Europe arrived in Chisinau in Moldova to participate in the joint military exercise Peace Shield (Peace Shield). The American Embassy in Moldova announced this on Saturday, May 18, on Facebook.
“This morning, a Boeing C-17 aircraft from the North Carolina Air National Guard arrived at Chisinau airport to support Exercise Peace Shield 35 military personnel from the North Carolina Guard and the US Air Force in Europe, in cooperation in the ministries of the Republic of Moldova, will practice civilian tactics,” the embassy statement.
It was indicated that the plane delivered medical equipment intended for the Ministry of Defense of Moldova as part of the American aid.
