British intelligence agencies are increasingly concerned about growing links between Russian intelligence agencies and proxy groups to carry out cyberattacks, spy on people and sabotage operations. This was stated by the head of the UK Government Communications Center Anna Keast-Butler, The Telegraph reports.
During a speech in Birmingham, she admitted to experts that her department believes the Kremlin is seeking to go further than just attacks in cyberspace.
Keast-Butler added that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has not given up on his maximalist goal of conquering the population of Ukraine.
Let us recall that in March, German intelligence services stated that Russia was preparing for a large-scale conflict with the West, as indicated by the reorganization of the Russian army, the movement of troops and the deployment of missiles in the west of the country, as well as the increase in Russian arms production. Berlin said it had received information about the possibility of a Russian attack on NATO countries from 2026.
