Antony Blinken’s visit is a sign of support to our defenders, that the United States is close and help is coming, the minister said.
Negotiations between Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleb and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken focused on the situation in the east of our state, accelerating the supply of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the search for additional Patriot systems. The Foreign Minister said this at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday, May 15.
“When we discussed almost all issues, the focus was on the Kharkov and Donetsk regions. This help will make our fight more effective,” said Kuleba.
He emphasized that the main issue he and Blinken discussed was the speed of delivery of military aid.
“Everyone must get the weapons quickly so that we have a chance to thwart the offensive plans of the Russian Federation in Ukraine and prevent its aggressive plans regarding the rest of Europe and the Euro-Atlantic community, ” added the minister.
We remind you that on May 14, Antony Blinken arrived in Kyiv. He spoke about the 10-year security agreement with Ukraine that the United States plans to end.
Today, Blinken announced $2 billion in military aid to Ukraine and also commented on the possibility of peace negotiations with Russia.
