The United States will support Ukrainian security and defense with a variety of military capabilities, from air defense to drones to mine clearance.
The United States wants to conclude a security agreement with Ukraine for 10 years. The document aims to support Ukrainian security and strengthen the military-industrial complex. This is what US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said, speaking at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute on Tuesday, May 14.
“In our 10-year agreement, the United States will support Ukrainian security and defense with a variety of military capabilities, from air defense to drones to mine clearance,” he said.
If Russia or anyone else attacks Ukraine, the United States will immediately work with Ukraine at the highest level to coordinate how the country can respond to the threat, Blinken said.
The Secretary of State added that the bilateral agreement with the United States aims to strengthen the Ukrainian military-industrial complex so that Ukraine can produce artillery shells, air defense systems and other critical weapons.
Let’s recall that on May 6, Ukraine held the fourth round of negotiations with the United States to sign a bilateral agreement on security guarantees.
Earlier, President Vladimir Zelensky announced the preparation of seven new security documents, one of them on the United States.
