Biden’s adviser noted that some of the weapons from the latest package, announced May 10, will arrive on the battlefield “this week.”
Washington is preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine and will announce it in the coming days. US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan announced this on Monday, May 13, in his briefing at the White House.
According to him, some of the previously promised weapons are already on the battlefield in Ukraine.
Sullivan did not divulge details, but noted that the United States is seeking to accelerate the pace of providing Kyiv with the necessary weapons, as the initial delay in providing aid “has pushed Ukraine to a dead end.”
He clarified that the United States is trying to intensify arms supplies to Ukraine, but this does not mean that similar military aid packages will be announced every week.
Let’s remember that on May 10, the United States announced an aid package worth $400 million. This includes additional ammunition for Patriot and NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 155 mm and 105 mm artillery shells, and more.
Ukraine, after receiving US military aid, plans to launch a new counter-offensive in 2025.
