Peskov added that the new Secretary of the Security Council will be the Deputy President of the Commission on the Military-Industrial Complex (MIC), and will also be involved in the work of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC).
“As Secretary of the Security Council, he will also be Deputy President of the commission on the military-industrial complex, and he is completely immersed in this work, he knows very well the speed of production of military-industrial products in the particular business,” said Putin’s press secretary.
Peskov added that the appointment of the former first deputy head of the Russian government Andrei Belousov as the head of the Ministry of Defense will not change the “system of coordinates” in the “military component” of the department.
“Regarding the military component, this appointment will not change the current coordination system, the military component has always been the prerogative of the Chief of the General Staff, he will continue his activities, no changes are expected in this regard, ” he said.
