On Friday, May 10, the United States of America announced a new package of military assistance to Ukraine. President Joe Biden ordered Secretary of State Antony Blinken to allocate $400 million. for the needs of Ukraine. This is stated on the White House website.
The Pentagon noted that the package included:
- additional ammunition for Patriot air defense systems;
- additional ammunition for NASAMS;
- Stinger MANPADS;
- equipment for integrating Western launchers, missiles and radars with Ukrainian systems;
- additional HIMARS and ammunition for these systems;
- artillery shells of 155 mm and 105 mm calibers;
- Bradley infantry fighting vehicle;
- M113 armored personnel carrier;
- MRAP;
- trailers for transporting heavy equipment;
- PTKR TOW;
- Javelin anti-tank systems and AT-4 anti-tank grenade launchers;
- precision aircraft munitions;
- HARM anti-radar missiles;
- small arms and additional small arms ammunition and grenades;
- explosive munitions and jamming devices;
- coastal and river patrol boats;
- means of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear protection;
- spare parts, maintenance equipment and other auxiliary equipment.
According to Politico, Ukraine will also receive Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicles, Javelin anti-tank systems and other ammunition.
Let us remind you that this is the second package of military assistance to Ukraine from the United States after Congress allocated money for this at the end of April.
