The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky met with representatives of the bishops of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. This was reported by the press service of the President of Ukraine on Friday, May 10.
Zelensky congratulated the clergy on Easter and thanked them for their prayers and concrete works to support Ukrainians.
The head of the OCU, Epifaniy, emphasized that defeating the occupier is only possible in unity, when everyone works in their place and contributes to the common goal.
The head of the UGCC, Svyatoslav, noted that the churches have been supporting the military since 2014, even before the adoption of the chaplaincy law. And he emphasized that the Ukrainian church was historically destroyed where the Russian colonialists seized our lands.

Earlier it was reported that Zelensky fired former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny from military service. Zaluzhny was dismissed for health reasons with the right to wear a military uniform.
