Telegram channels wrote about the drone attack at night. Local residents told Shot that at about 1 a.m. several powerful explosions were heard in the Dzerzhinsky district, before which the characteristic sounds of drones flying were heard. According to them, they saw fire and smoke in the area of the local oil refinery. According to Astra, plant employees were evacuated.
Governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoyt announced the interception of a drone in the Korenevsky district. According to him, the drone exploded on the ground, but no one was injured.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that five Ukrainian drones were shot down over the Bryansk, Moscow and Belgorod regions. The department’s message does not say anything about a drone attack on the Kaluga and Kursk regions.
Let us remind you that this is not the first drone attack on this plant. On the night of March 15, drones already attacked this refinery. Then the fire also started. The plant’s equipment was damaged.
