Ukraine expects the next stage of rapprochement with the European Union in June. This was said by the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
“I just spoke with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen We are actively preparing the next phase of rapprochement with the European Union for June – we are waiting for the approval of the negotiation framework and the actual start of negotiations . on the accession of Ukraine,” said the head of state.
Ukraine and Ukrainians deserve to start actual accession negotiations, moreover, the European Union needs this step, Zelensky emphasized.
“This is the life of the European Union – to be a European project that leaves no one outside the European Union No one who truly expresses European values,” said the president.
Let’s remember that the European Council called on other EU member states to quickly approve the negotiation framework for Ukraine’s accession.
