The Verkhovna Rada made a corresponding decision on May 9. 272 people’s deputies voted for this. Kubrakov himself was not in the hall during the voting. Prime Minister Denis Smigal was also absent. It is also unknown when Kubrakov’s replacement will be appointed. People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported this on Telegram.
Kubrakov himself said on Facebook that the leadership of the Servant of the People faction and the head of government did not discuss this decision with him, and he was not invited to the meeting of the relevant committee.
According to the vote for this draft resolution by the Verkhovna Rada, over the 5 years of joint work we have come a long way. With an absolute majority, the path is in one direction. Everyone makes a decision in accordance with their beliefs and bears responsibility for it,” he noted.
As you know, from November 19, 2019 to May 20, 2021, Kubrakov headed the State Highway Agency. He was appointed Minister of Infrastructure on May 20, 2021. And on December 1, 2022, he became the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for reconstruction issues.
Let us recall that draft resolution No. 11248 on the dismissal of Alexander Kubrakov from office was submitted on May 9 by a group of people’s deputies, including the chairman of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia.
