Germany will assist Ukraine with financial, economic, humanitarian, political and arms supplies.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has promised to provide Ukraine with the necessary weapons. He said this in his speech to the Bundestag before the EU, NATO and G7 summits, Welt reported on Wednesday, June 22nd.

“Ukraine is receiving the weapons it especially needs at this stage of the war,” Scholz said.

According to him, Germany provides weapons – “now and in the future.”

Ukraine has the right to defend itself against Russia, Scholz said.

“And our duty as neighbors in Europe, as defenders of law and liberty, as friends and partners of Ukraine, is to support them in the best way,” he said.

“We will continue to support Ukraine on a massive scale – financially, economically, humanitarian, political, and at least the supply of weapons,” the chancellor said, adding that support will continue as long as Ukraine needs it.

Earlier, Germany reported that in the first three months of the war in Ukraine, it was given permission to supply weapons and other equipment to Ukraine in the amount of 350.1 million euros.

The Cabinet of Ministers will attract a grant of one billion euros from Germany
