We have coordinated further steps to mutually benefit the entire range of bilateral issues. We also discussed Ukraine’s integration into the EU. “I am confident that Ukraine’s early accession to the EU will benefit both our states,” Zelensky writes.
This is one of the rare contacts between the President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Hungary, who opposed both financial and military assistance to Kyiv and the admission of Ukraine to the EU.
However, on February 1 of this year, all 27 EU countries agreed to provide financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 50 billion euros, including the opposing Hungary.
